I toured the Velocity Condominium this past
week.
The Velocity
Condominium houses 200 band new condominium
homes in the new riverfront neighborhood, of
South Capitol near the National Stadium and Navy
Yard. I get a lot of questions about this
area. There are/were big plans for this area the
Velocity was phase one of a three phrase
project, but not much being said today.
Everything around here is new. The metro is a few block
away and so is the National Stadium. Quick exit
to suburbia easy along South Capitol.
Capitol Hill is also close by. The 200 condominium homes offer an
assortment of floor plans. Walkscore is
good. Walk Score calculates the walkability
of an address by locating nearby stores, restaurants, schools,
parks, etc. The walk score for the Velocity Condominium is 76 on 0 to 100 scale,
meaning you can probably get by without owning a

story building. . It features
studio, one and two bedroom condominium homes. The
studios are prices in the mid
$200s, one bedroom condominium
are priced from mid $300s and
the two bedroom condo home
priced in the upper $400s. .

hardwood flooring , European
inspired kitchens. Some homes
